Cam is back in AZ

We have had a busy few days since I got back, first of all it is so great to have Cameron home. We really missed him! Cameron hasn't seen Z since he was three days old. He had fun showing him off to all his friends in Connecticut. Our flights went smoothly both there and back. Zeland was a great traveler. Our flight there was an overnight flight and he slept the entire time. He even slept through baggage claim and picking up the rental car as well as the ride from New York to Connecticut which is about and hour and a half drive.... on the way back he was a little fussy at first but once I fed him he slept and didn't wake up until we landed back in Arizona.

I was able to spend time with my friends in Connecticut and New York. My friend Robyn and I went to lunch together. It was great to see her and hear about her wedding planning. She is getting married in April. Andrew and I are hoping we can make it out for the wedding. I also spent time with my friend Makenzie who is pregnant with her third child. She finds out on Wednesday what she is having. I can't wait!! Cameron and I used to live with her and her two little girls Bella and Kayla and the kids have stayed really good friends even though they don't get to see each other very often.

Friday we went to cottonwood and spent some time with grandma Nancy...we always enjoy our visits there...Saturday was my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary so we went to Prescott to celebrate. We got to visit with family and my aunts and uncles got to see Zeland for the fist time. My grandma had Zeland cracking up! It was so funny to hear him laugh for the first time!! I have been trying ever since to make him laugh and it doesn't work...my grandma must have the magic touch!

Cam started the 3rd grade today!!! We met his teacher on Friday, her name is Ms. Deignan. She is super nice and has a lot of cool things planned for the year. Cameron was just glad she wasn't old! Its totally unreal that I have a third grader...time goes by so quickly.

Zeland is loving having his big brother around. He is nothing but smiles when Cameron is talking to him. Today we went to visit the daycare Zeland will be going to part time since I recently found a job. I will be working at St. Josephs hospital in the patient transfer center. I will be working four 12hr shifts and then be off four days. My hours will be either 7pm-7am or 6pm-6am. I figure I am going to need to sleep sometime so Zeland will go to daycare 3 days a week depending on what days I am working from like 8-2. If my shift falls on a weekend Andrew will be home. Cameron won't have to go to the before and after school program, which he is very happy about. I am not sure if I will be scheduled set days or how it is all going to work. I am just waiting for my drug screen, TB test and background check to come back so I can be cleared to start working...hopefully this week. Me working is going to be a huge financial relief but I am so not happy about Zeland having to go to daycare at all. Not that I have anything against daycare I just wish I could stay home with him all the time..I am going to miss my little monkey.

Congratulations on the new job. Hope the odd hours work out well for you. What kind of work will you be doing?

Good to hear that Z is already a good traveler. Have you signed him up for frequent flyer miles yet?

I will be in the patient transfer center...all I really know is that I find rooms for patients coming out of surgery or being transfered to our hospital from another hospital. Thats about all I know at this point. I will post details as I know them.

Wow, that's quite a shift. I guess 12 hours is a lot nomatter which hours they are. I'm impressed you found a job so fast - but I do totally understand how you feel about daycare.

I enjoy being back at work and tell myself that there are good things about her being in daycare - but I still question the decision constantly.

Nomatter what choices you make, you're always doing the best you can for your family, and that's all you can do. You are such a good mom, and your boys are growing up knowing how much you love them.

Thanks Amber I needed that...I start work tomorrow. Right now I will be training from 8-4:30. I so so freaking out about leaving Zeland all day! I know he will be fine just not being with him all day is going to be sad for me...12 hours is going to be killer I am just focused on the 4 days off I will get.
