our little swimmer!

We had a pretty awesome weekend. For Zeland's first 4th of July we went to our neighbor's and had a BBQ. Julie and Drew made the best BBQ ribs, smoked corn and potato salad...it was yummy!!! Zeland slept right through the fireworks!!!

Saturday Andrew had a show so our mom's came down. Little Zeland went for his first swim. He did not like it at first but seemed to calm down once grandma Nancy took him and walked him around in the pool talking to him. He was making the cutest baby sounds and smiling. I can't wait to take him back in. While we were at the pool there was a little girl eight months old. She was so cute! She loved being in the pool. She had a little baby raft and she was just kicking and splashing around. I am really looking forward to Zeland at that age.

My mom stayed at the house to watch Zeland and Nancy went with me to Andrew's show. Burning the Bridge didn't play until twelve....poor Nancy. She was really a trooper though and I know that Andrew was really glad she came. I think she was exhausted by the time we got home. The good news is that BTB won!!! They advance to the final round which is next Saturday. If they win they will play at U-Fest along with some other prizes.... Good luck BTB!!!!
