Our good friends and used to be neighbors (until they moved and abandoned us) just found out that they are having a little girl. I am so excited for them but I am a tad bit jealous.
Poor poor poor Andrew he has to hear about how Julie and I really do have parallel lives and if he had just let me have one more baby I am sure it would have been a girl! All reason has gone out the window and I am now an emotional baby wanting mess!
I am sure this will pass but in the mean time I will torture Andrew and be overly motherly to Cam and Z which I am sure Cameron will just love being that he is 9 going on 20 :)

I can identify with your feeling of jealousy. I wanted a girl, too, but never had one. However, I consider myself lucky to have had two wonderful boys. Your boys are wonderful, too. Who knows what the future holds! You may not have a daughter but chances are very good you will have a granddaughter. And you will be "free" of many responsibilities so you can really enjoy her. It sounds like that is a long time away, but it will come sooner than you think.
Sooner than you think if Cam is really 9 going on 20 :) Listen, it's worth it to have a girl! Reverse it, Andrew, reverse it!!!

Ha! Amber the thought has crossed my mind but sadly its not reversable. Can you please bring that sweet little Aurora here so I can get my girl fix!!!
I just want you to know I wouldn't trade Zeland for ten girls, let alone one. He can be a handful at times, but he is well worth it. I love all his cute, silly ways.
I wouldn't trade Andrew in either.

Who would trade Zeland!? No, you are lucky to have Zeland and who knows - if you tried for another there's a very good chance you'd end up with another boy. So, maybe just play with the little girls in your life and one day Cam and Zeland will get married and you'll have daughters-in-law which I think must be ALMOST just as good ;)
Daughter-in-laws are good. So are granddaughters. Chances are you will have both.
