New Things

Zeland is doing a few new things that I can't get enough of....

1. He loves stuffed animals. I really don't remember Cameron being overly excited about stuffed animal but Zeland loves his. Right now his favorites are his two Pooh Bears, Elmo and he has two puppies that he really likes. All you have to do is say Awww..and he will cuddle his stuffed animal.

2. He kisses me when I say kiss-kiss. Ok well its not exactly kissing he just kinda leans in so I can kiss him but either way I love it.

3. He climbs into my lap with a book so I can read to him. He really likes when we read to him especially when we make silly noises or talk funny.

4. He has been really into music lately and has started dancing any time he hears music or any type of beat for that matter. This video was taken in the boys room when we were playing today. Zeland loves this train that grandma Nancy got for him and every time you push the smoke stack it sings. He was having lots of fun dancing to the song but of course when I got the camera out he didn't really do it but there are a few spots where you might catch a head bob.

There are also a few things that Zeland has started doing that I could so live without...

1. Screaming. Mostly when he is frustrated with his current situation. For example letting out a quick burst of anger to tell me he is all done eating and wants to get down.

2. He has gotten really clingy...mostly this week I think it is due to the fact that he is teething pretty bad right now. I really love holding him and playing with him but really I gotta get stuff done..things like laundry, dishes and also things like going to the bathroom in peace and when you have a clingy baby these things become nearly impossible. I am just hoping once he is back to feeling a 100% he will relax a bit.

3. Feeding all his food to the dog. Kinda cute at first but not so much anymore.

4 Falling. Being a new still kinda wobbly walking baby he has taken a few spills. Yesterday he was standing up and went to bend down to get his ball and fell face first into the carpet. Poor thing has rug burn on his nose. I felt so bad for him he did that red face no breathing kinda cry...I really don't like that cry.

*I think it may be time for a haircut

Love the videos. He's doing stuff that I didn't see him do this past week end. At this age every day is a new experience. Please keep the videos coming so I don't miss anything. Can't wait to see him again but it will probably be a couple of weeks. Maybe we can get down your way for Father's Day (June 21).

Sounds like Z loves animals, even if they are stuffed, LOL!

Maybe Z is already auditioning for Andrew's band, LOL?

John's always loved trains, too. Nice of Granny Nancy to give Z his first choo choo.

Oh my gosh, I love all the details! I feel like I know little Zeland now, and he's too sweet.

If I try to kiss Aurora, she opens her mouth wide and lays a big slobbery wet one on me! Her dancing is kind of like Stevie Wonder, and she TOTALLY tries to feed me and Tater all the time, which you're right - it's funny at first, until they're just dropping food on the ground and not actually eating. Ugh.

At daycare they taught Aurora the sign for "all done," and that's been awesome. Instead of screaming, she waves her hands up to me, which is very affective. It's the only sign she knows.

Oh, and as far as the faceplants, I think she did that for like a full month once she started walking. It was rough there for a little while, but I feel like once Zeland's a stronger walker he'll get less clingy and more independent. Now Aurora wants to help do dishes - which has it's own challenges...

Thanks for posting so many great blogs lately, I love it!

Oh ya gotta love the open mouth kiss! Its funny that you mention Aurora trying to feed you Z does the same thing..he doesn't like when I say no thank you but really kid I don't want your slobbery cheerio in my mouth..thanks anyway! :) I am going to go home tonight and start teaching Zeland the sign for all done!

Thanks for being interested in the little things!

Grandma Nancy- We would love to have you anytime!

Robin- Zeland loves animals! He loves giving Izzy and Max hugs! He is still a bit to rough but we are working on it. The train grandma Nancy got for Z is great!
