We got married at the courthouse to keep things simple and low key, and it's so true - wedding plans can snowball out of control and become VERY expensive. I think it'll be great, and we'll certainly look into coming!
We would love to join the family for your wedding day in Vegas. Sounds like a really great photo-op as well as a chance to attend a real Vegas style wedding. We're not sure about our job or financial situations at that time, but we'll put the event on our calendar.
Vegas is a relatively inexpensive place to travel with lots of good hotel rates & things to do. (Our favorite is Mandalay Bay.) We don't usually need a car there, but we might want to visit Utah's spectacular Arches Park while in the area.
Yes, weddings are expensive with lots of details. We paid for our own wedding over 27 years ago. The Vegas wedding sounds like a wise choice. The Cheezheads
