5 months,pumpkins,baseball and fish

Zeland is five months old today!! In the last four weeks he has discovered that eating solids is the best thing ever! So far he has had squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and this week we are going to try peas. I have been giving him a little fruit which I wouldn't have done if he wasn't eating the veggies we were giving him. He so far has tried bananas and applesauce both he really seems to like. He is finally sleeping through the night....well some nights he still wakes up around three thirty but he has been doing really well. Andrew is really happy that he stopped waking up 2 or three times a night since he has him four nights a week. He is also rolling all over the place. The days of leaving him on the bed to go get something are long gone.

Today we went with Julie, Drew, Adam and our other neighbor Anthony to the pumpkin patch. We picked out pumpkins and plan to carve them next weekend.

Cameron had his first baseball game on Saturday. The team he is on is the Diamondbacks. I am a big loser and didn't bring my camera. I will for sure post a few pics next week. Cameron and Adam were the only two kids to get hits everyone else walked or struck out. Cameron had an in the park home run!!!. Adam got a hit perfectly down the middle. Both Adam and Cameron are baseball super stars! They won the game 5 to 4. I am looking forward to cooler weather...the game was at 2pm and it was hot! The kids were dying in their black jerseys.

We also got 2 new fish today. We bought a small one gallon tank with an air pump and filter system. We figured we should start small and maybe work our way up to a bigger tank. We bought Walmart fish so who knows how long they will last. We have one black goldfish Cameron has named Big Joe and a neon tetra that Andrew named McLuvin. :) This is actually our second attempt with fish. Cameron had a beta fish that died in two days. Lets hope we have better luck this time around.

Love the pictures in the pumpkin patch. Congratulate Cameron for me on his great hit. Hope the fish survive at least until I can see them, hopefuly next week end or the next one. Grandma Nancy

Oh Zeland, what is happening to your hair!

I tried giving Rora peaches the other day, and I think at this point she prefers the peas. She does like bananas though, as long as they're mixed with cereal. She has mastered the sweet potatoes and peas and this week we're doing carrots, squash and apple sauce.

His hair is crazy right now...he lost most of it on the sides and back now he just has a wave on the top...I am hoping for some new hair soon!! We tried peas today he made a face the first few bites but ate them all.

I forgot to mention that I love the video, too. I know i've said this before but he is sooo cute. Both my grandchildren are darling but that's only to be expected because they have such good-looking parents. I didn't see the mothers as babies but I can assure you that both dads were darlings as babies. Grandma Nancy
