As most of you know we welcomed Zeland Andrew Wadey into this world on May 19,2008 at 4:21 am. He was 6 pounds 14 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. He is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Actually he looks just like his cousin Aurora only with lots of dark hair. Labor went pretty well. We had gone to the hospital Sunday afternoon due to some bleeding. At that point I was 2 cm dilated and the doctor sent us home with the thought that he would probably see us back that night or early the next morning. Sure enough about 8:30 pm on the 18th my contractions were every 5-7 min lasting at least 30 seconds. We decided at 9:30 to go back to the hospital. We packed up the car and took Cameron to our neighbor's house. In Ob triage I was 3-4 cm so the nurse sent us out to walk for an hour. During that hour my contractions were stronger and 4-5 min apart. Back in Ob triage I was 4-5 cm and they took me upstairs to labor and delivery (finally!). Once I was in the room I was given my IV, had a blood draw, and had the blessed epidural. From that point Andrew and I took a nap. Our moms arrived and at 4:15am I was 10 cm dilated and it was time to call the Doctor. The doctor came in. I pushed about 3 or 4 times and out he came 3 min later!!!! It was the most amazing thing ever!
Nicole came yesterday and took some really great pictures which we will be posting soon.
Grandma Nancy took lots of pictures also which I am sure she will be sharing.
Thank you to everyone for all your congratulations, flowers, and gifts. We are home now and doing great. Tired .....but great.

I just love the picture on the blog. I took pictures of Zeland also but most were while he still looked puffy and blotchy. I hope to get some good pictures this week end. Nancy
I just love how little his face is compared to your fingers. What a sweet little man.
