38 Weeks

So here we are at 38 weeks...13 days until my due date. I had a check-up today at my Dr.'s office. Dr. Nahm will be out of town the next few weeks so one of the partners will be on call in case I go into labor before he gets back. I was disappointed at first that he could potentially not be here but at this point as long as there is a Dr. in the room I don't care. Today I met with the Nurse Kim who I love and went over the usual stuff....my BP was fine, I gained one pound, baby heart rate was at 138, still 1 cm dilated, he is head down but like last week he is still pretty high up. We talked about ways to bring on labor and also talked about the possibility of induction a few days before my due date so that Cameron will not miss out. We will discuss that option more next week at my appointment.

I have officially stopped working. This week was my first week off and it has been fantastic! Aside from household stuff I have been able to hang out with Cameron which is great since he is leaving on the 23rd. He has a lot of things going on at school this week....he had a play at school yesterday, today he has a half day and Friday morning he has Muffins with Mom in honor of Mothers day. Its been nice taking him and picking him up at school. I could get used to being a stay at home mom. However my plan (which changes every other day) is to go back to work. I really love my job and the people that I work with. I doubt we will make a for sure decision about anything until we see how things work out and how things go once baby Z comes.
